How do I schedule an appointment?
You must call our offices to establish yourself as a client. Once established and forms are completed, you can schedule online by selecting the calendar link and viewing available times. Then click on a time to schedule. Select online or in person. Then schedule It's that easy!
Do you offer teletherapy?
Yes we do! Once you have established your account, you may select a virtual or office visit. Virtual visits are conducted right here on the client portal. You log into the portal and select "today's appointment"
How do I pay my balance?
Payments are made online via the portal, website, or by check to your provider. Our policies are Net 30 days. Clients with outstanding balances of more than 90 days must pay off their balance or contact our office to discuss payment arrangements. Clients with outstanding balances that are over 90 days old, and who do not have a payment plan in place, will have their account restricted and will not able to schedule further appointments until the account is either brought up-to-date or payment arrangements have been made. To request payment arrangements, please call 218-270-8020 for Julia, you can also call 218-454-3288 and dial 0 then leave a message with your name and phone number. Please make sure you state that you would like to make payment arrangements. You may also send an email with your name and information to Admin@TheTherapistMN.com and request a payment arrangement form. Please be aware that your provider is unable to answer questions about your balance and are unable to make payment arrangements. How do I receive invoices?
Your account balance is available via the client portal. All balances are provided via electronic statements on the client portal. We no longer send paper statements in the mail, unless the client specifically requests paper statements. You will be able to check your balances and make credit or debit card payments right on the client portal. You will also be able to print your invoices to mail along with your check or you may hand the check to your provider. If you would like to continue to receive paper statements, please call Julia at 218-270-8020 and let her know you would like to continue to receive paper statements. You may also email Admin@TheTherapistMN.com. Please be aware that your provider is unable to answer questions about your bill. If you have questions please contact us at the number or email provided. How do I pay my co-pay?
If you know your Co-Pay amount, you may pay your provider by check made payable to: The Therapist on the date of your appointment. You can also keep a credit, debit, HSA card on file and co-pays will be automatically billed to your card.
What forms of payment do you take?
PAY by Check with enclosed envelope or PAY ONLINE AT www.TheTherapistMN.com by selecting the "PAY MY BILL" link on the top menu. PAY on the client portal with credit, debit, HSA or PayPal. What if I can't pay my bill?
If you are having financial difficulties and need to make payment arrangements, please call (218) 454-3288 and press 0 to leave a message. Someone will call you back to discuss your options.
About the client forms.
Please complete all required forms prior to your appointment day. Please make sure you have enough time to complete the forms prior to your appointment date as these forms are extensive. If you do not complete your forms, you may be asked to reschedule on the day of your appointment. If you are unable to complete these forms at home, you may be asked to complete these during your scheduled appointment. Your provider may also help with the completion of these forms during your first appointment. If you are experiencing depression, please complete the ASQ Suicide Screening. If you have a history of PTSD or Trauma you are encouraged to complete the PCL-5 form.
How do I use the portal?
Access to the portal provides an opportunity for you to complete forms, journal, and communicate securely with your therapist. You may schedule appointments, look at your bill, print invoices, and manage your account here. If you would like to received paper bills you must inform us by calling or sending an email.
Providing Insurance and payment processing
If you are paying with insurance you must provide all insurance information, since we have no way of determining whether you have insurance without your cards. As a courtesy, your insurance will be billed for you, if you have secondary insurance it will also be billed but you are responsible to provide us with the information. Any balance not paid by insurance becomes the client's responsibility. Once we receive payment from your insurance, you will see your balance online. If you prefer to receive a statement in the mail you must inform us. We now take payments online or you can pay on the port. Our website is www.TheTherapistMN.com. You are able to pay your bill and access the client portal link from there. Please be aware that if you are a Medicare patient, along with your secondary insurance, you must provide your Medicare number in order for your services to be paid by the insurance company.
How do I cancel appointments?
Please provide at least 48-hours when cancelling an appointment. Repeated no shows or late cancellations will incur a $35 fee and may not be able to reschedule immediately. You may also be referred to another area provider.
My first appointment
You should be provided with an instruction sheet to help guide you the day of your first appointment. The office is self-serve, so when you walk in you will see a directory and that will provide you with information on where your therapist is located. When arriving at the Suite door you may enter and seat yourself in the waiting area, your therapist will escort you at your appointment time. If you do not receive the "Your First Appointment" handout instruction sheet via email, please let Julia know.
What are the fees?

Do you write support letters, pet letters, disability determination?
